MURSHIDABAD
Day 01: Kolkata – Berhampore
Your tour begins with a pick-up from your School in Kolkata city limits at 6:00 in the morning. The journey to Murshidabad is about 200 kilometres and may take up to 7 hours.
On arrival at Berhampore check in at Hotel. Enjoy your lunch and go for sightseeing of Hazarduari Palace, whose name literally means a palace with a thousand doors, known as the Bara Kothi, is located on the campus of Kila Nizamat in Murshidabad. Then followed by Nizamat Imambara: Built in the year 1847, it is a Shia Muslim congregation hall and is among the largest in India and Bengal. Enjoy dinner. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Murshidabad local sightseeing – Kolkata
Morning after breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing,
The following landmarks are covered in today's tour:
Katra Masjid: It is a mosque and the tomb of Nawab Murshid Quli Khan, built between 1723 and 1724.
Motijheel: It is a horse-shaped lake in Murshidabad; it was created by Nawazish Muhammad Khan, the son-in-law of Nawab Alivardi Khan.
Jahan Kosha Cannon: Placed in the Topekhana, a quarter of a mile to the southeast of the Katra Mosque, this cannon's name literally means Destroyer of the World.
Dutch Cemetary: As the name suggests, it is a graveyard of the Dutch explorers who once came to Murshidabad.
Wasif Manzil: The Wasif Manzil, or the New Palace, was built by Nawab Wasif Ali Mirza Khan.
After the completion of lunch at Hotel the return journey to Kolkata will start at 2 in the afternoon and is expected to take up to 7 hours. Tour Ends
